Do you ever get a song stuck in your head for days? Ever since I posted “Bottle It Up” by Sara Bareilles a couple of days ago, it keeps spinning round and round up there, and it won’t let go. So I’m rolling with it. Right now, it’s a great theme song for my slice of reality, particularly since this spring as I prune my garden, I’m also pruning out the parts of my life that don’t feel like me in order to make room for the things that I love.
When we cut out the excess pieces that don’t feel true to who we are, we can begin to blossom in ways that will super-charge our lives. It’s a way of letting everyone know that we are genuine, confident, and that we trust in ourselves enough to be forthcoming to the world. Be true to yourself and the right people will follow.
Is there something you’ve been doing that feels untrue to your deeper sense of self? If so, how can you prune it out of your life this spring, and what do you hope will blossom into your life as a result?
Also, I’m giving you this graphic as a desktop wallpaper as a reminder to be true to yourself. Click the link below to download.

Awesome post Kimberly!
"Pruning the excess" is very important to me currently as I transition from full time day job with part time business to the reverse. I think the next step is learning to say "I'm really sorry but I cannot devote as many hours" to volunteer work or even "I'm sorry. I won't be able to continue "X" as I am focusing heavily on my goal to…"
As always an inspiration and a beautiful download!

Thanks Caylie!
I didn't realize you have a day job as well. Wow, girl, you are pretty amazing! Congratulations on the big transition…I know you are going to be extremely successful. I also struggle greatly with those words. I hate letting people down, but the truth is, you really only let people down when you aren't honest with yourself and what is important to you. And in that case, you let yourself down too. So way to go for practicing the art of politely declining!
Glad you liked the wallpaper too 🙂
