Can you believe that August is here already? It seems like this summer has gone back at whirlwind speeds and I can’t seem to slow it down. My baby is due in two months! I’m busy nesting…organizing the house, preparing my shop, and trying to open new streams of revenue to make life a little easier once it all changes with baby. Oh, I’ve got things in store, which include fun collaborations, lumberjacks, sewing, block printing, and more!
I’m gearing up to show you things and in the meantime, I’ve got some lovely links for you.
- Ever wonder how to make a repeat pattern in photoshop? I wrote a tutorial over at Oh My! Handmade that takes you though the process step by step.
- As part of a collaboration with Jenelle of TrashN2Tees, I sent her some fabric from my fabric shop so that she could create this darling camera strap tutorial. It’s a sewing project even I can do!
- Print & pattern is looking for geometric patterns for their upcoming book!
- Caylie writes about success at Better Business, Better Life. What does success mean to you?
- I’ve been loving the Accidental Creative Podcasts.
- These felt dolls are so adorable and so are these Sausage Dogs!
- The Declaration of You Blog Lovin’ Tour ended with a huge hoorah on Saturday. Catch up on all the blog posts from around the web here.
It’s so hard to believe how fast time flies. I loved your tutorial on oh my handmade! I can’t wait to see the new little one!
Thanks Yvonne! I know, I wish it would just slow down sometimes. So happy that you liked the tutorial. I will be sure to parade the little guy around OMHG when he arrives in this world 🙂 He’s going to be getting a lot of virtual squishes, squeezes, hugs and kisses!
I concur with the summer flying by…I’m on the last couple of weeks of babysitting my nieces!
I loved your post on the photoshop tutorial, now I just need to get photoshop!! :]
Hoorah on the collab. I am loving evry bit of it! ;]
Caylie’s post is right on and definitely got my wheels turning and helpped put everything on perspective.
Thanks for the links!!
I’m suprised you don’t use photoshop to edit those gorgeous photos of yours, Citlalli! I think there is also a way to do something similar with http://www.picmonkey.com/
I’m happy to hear you are enjoying this collab I’ve got going on with Jenelle. It’s so fun! Also happy that Caylie’s post helped you out. She’s great!
Oh, wow!! I just saw all the typos from the previous comment…yikes!! ;] Any the ways, I use the basic editing software that came with my mac, I have messed with picmonkey a bit, but I have noticed that the color brightness gets lost when uploading pics. Maybe I can ask for photoshop as an early Christmas/Birthday present? ;]
Well your photography looks really nice, Citlalli! Photoshop or Photoshop Elements would make a nice present! I myself would love to update to Adobe Cloud 🙂 (And I didn’t even notice the typos…probably because I do it all the time! lol)
